Philip’s wedding singer? It’s Cher

Galway milliner weds… without a hat in sight

-

HIS creations have been the must-have accessory for thousands of weddings.

But Philip Treacy’s own wedding in Las Vegas on Friday was a hat-free affair.

The Galway-born hat designer tied the knot to his long-term partner, Stefan Bartlett, and Cher sang at their wedding – well, sort of.

After the wedding ceremony, the newlyweds took in Cher’s spectacular show at the Monte Carlo resort, nabbing a picture with the veteran diva after her performance.

Treacy posted the picture, right, on his Facebook page yesterday.

The groom and groom appeared to opt for alternative wedding day style, with Treacy donning a smart blue blazer with a T-shirt, while Mr Bartlett wore an army fatigues-style shirt.

Tying the look together was a matching pair of pink pocket squares… and broad smiles on the men’s big day.

The happy couple were inundated with well wishes after they announced their marriage.

They live together in the UK with Stefan working alongside Philip in his fashion empire.

The pair divide their time between London and the Cotswolds where they have a country pad.

Treacy has seen his hats adorn the heads of everyone from Zara Phillips to Lady Gaga.
