LESSONS TO LEARN ABOUT LOANS
A proposed new loan scheme to fund third-level education would see a typical college graduate paying €150-€160 per month from the time they graduate until the age of 33.
A Government-commissioned report from last year found that an income-based loan plan would be the cheapest way to fund the further development of third-level education in Ireland. However, it also estimated that up to one-in-10 graduates would not repay their loans after emigrating.
