Fitness fanatic plans to host bootcamps… just like her idol
DESPITE suffering a serious knee injury while filming The Jump earlier this year, fitness fanatic Vogue Williams hasn’t ditched her plans for fitness bootcamps around Ireland and the UK this summer.
Speaking to the Irish Mail on Sunday, Vogue, 31, said she still hopes to host the bootcamps with friend and personal trainer Nat Summers.
‘I would definitely love to be there and do the bootcamps. I would not be training people anyway as I’m not a trainer.’
Vogue’s bootcamps could rival those of Kathryn Thomas whose Pure Results Camps have been a hit. And Vogue revealed that she is a longtime fan of the presenter.
‘I just love doing Getaways. I remember watching Kathryn Thomas hosting that show and thinking, “That’s my dream gig,” and it is.’
Vogue is currently filming Getaways in Ibiza with RTÉ and has been joined on the island by new love Spencer Matthews. Reality TV star Spencer – whose brother James is set to marry Pippa Middleton next weekend – has been topping up his tan poolside while Vogue works. His last-minute trip to the party island may not go down well with his family as he is due to act as James’s best man on Saturday. Vogue has not been invited to the wedding of the year thanks to Pippa’s ‘no ring, no bring’ policy.
The Howth native also told the MoS that, despite losing out to Amanda Byram to host Dancing With The Stars on RTÉ, she still hopes to score her own big show: ‘I just love doing TV. My dream job is a big shiny floor show.’
Due to begin filming Vogue Investigates, she said this series is her ‘meatiest’ yet, adding ‘I can’t say too much but I will be going to places my family probably don’t want me to go.’
However, she hasn’t forsaken her reality show roots ‘as long as it’s a challenging show I can learn something from’.
Undeterred by her knee injury, Vogue can’t wait to do The Jump next year: ‘I loved doing The Jump. Since it started it’s a show that I’ve wanted to do. And I will be back for next year.’
