WE ARE set to be overrun by a flamboyance of flamingos this summer.
The distinctive pink birds will be the season’s hottest fashion motif, emblazoned on everything from sunglasses to cuff-links, wallpaper to tumblers.
And inflatable versions will be the essential accessory at pool parties and music festivals – especially after Primark launched a budget version for less than a tenner last week.
The store was responding to a trend that’s been championed by celebrities including Fearne Cotton, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and ex-TV presenter Georgie Thompson, who is pictured posing on a blow-up flamingo in a pool.
