It WILL be the mother of this year’s weddings when Pippa Middleton and hedge fund manager James Matthews marry next Saturday – in the presence of two magnificen­t matriarchs behind the uniting dynasties. On one side is Carole Middleton, daughter of a decorator who grew up in a council house but who is now a royal granny. On the other is glamorous Jane Matthews, once voted her university carnival queen and paraded through the streets on a gold throne.
