LEINSTER SHC ROUND 3 WESTMEATH v MEATH TEG Cusack Park, 3pm WESTMEATH can still make the Leinster quarterfinals despite losing their opening two games in the Round Robin. For that to happen, they need to beat Meath and hope Laois don’t take their foot off the gas in Kerry. After winning Division 2A and taking top spot in the Leinster Round Robin last season, relegation to the Christy Ring Cup would be a huge step backwards for the Lake County, while Meath seem to be heading in the other direction. MOST RECENT MEETING: June 2007 – Meath 2-16 Westmeath 1-19 (Christy Ring Cup) REFEREE: Colum Cunning (Antrim) KEY STAT: Despite having two points more than Westmeath, the Royals have an inferior scoring difference after shipping five goals in two games. LEINSTER SHC ROUND 3 KERRY v LAOIS Austin Stack Park, 3pm LAOIS are all but guaranteed their place in the quarter-finals, two points clear heading into today’s final round of games with an extrememly healthy scoring difference of +18. Kerry are still in danger of being relegated, and the Kingdom will put up a good fight against former boss Eamonn Kelly, but

given their recent form Laois will be able to make it three wins from three. MOST RECENT MEETING: April 17 – Laois 1-30 Kerry 4-20 (AET) (NHL Div. 1B relegation play-off)

REFEREE: Alan Kelly (Galway)

KEY STAT: Laois have lost twice to Kerry in recent years, including twice in last year’s League and again in this year’s Division 1B opener.
