SHE made Dragons’ Den history when she secured investment from three dragons – but ambitious Pamela Laird has now declined their offer.

The beautician-turned-businesswoman presented her innovative product Moxi Loves Eye Catchers in April, and couldn’t believe it when all three dragons expressed their interest.

However, the 27-year-old has now said she is ‘out’ after securing a better deal from another investor.

After the RTÉ show had aired and before contracts were signed, she was presented with another offer that she couldn’t refuse.

Speaking to the Irish Mail on Sunday, Pamela said her business acumen kicked in but she was nervous when telling the three dragons that she had to decline their offer.

‘I met them after the show and to have three dragons invest was unbelievable. I didn’t expect to get another offer after the show,’ she said. ‘But Eurosales International, who are my distributor, came back with an offer.’

Dubliner Pamela consulted her mother Yvonne, with whom she also works in their salon, The Beauty Parlour in Terenure, and

‘I didn’t expect to get another offer after show’

she decided to go with their distributors.

She explained: ‘I already had a great relationship with John from Eurosales. They were already distributing Moxi, they have a whole team of marketing, accounting and distribution there, so it really just made sense. It is a one-stop-shop.

‘When they saw how interested the dragons were and the reaction to the product, that spurred them into making an offer.’

At just 27, Pamela is determined to make her mark and fortune in the beauty business.

Moxi Loves is a make-up problem-solver and she already has another product that she hopes will hit the shelves this summer. Informing the Dragons of her decision was ‘difficult’, she said, adding: ‘They were really supportive – they know that’s the way it is in business.

‘Eleanor gave me a call and we had a chat. She really put me out of my misery.’
