Ssh... Alannah has a Secret ambition
Now Next Top Model beauty wants to get her wings (as a runway angel!)
STUNNING Alannah Beirne proved she was Ireland’s top model when she made the final three of Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model this week.
And while she was eliminated in the final on Thursday night, the Kildare beauty has supermodel ambitions.
Speaking to the Irish Mail on Sunday, Alannah said her big dream is to put on her wings and walk the runway for lingerie label Victoria’s Secret.
‘It’s every model’s dream to be a Victoria’s Secret model. So to be the first Irish Victoria’s Secret model would be quite amazing.’
But she has no plans to move overseas any time soon to make that dream a reality. She said: ‘I will be living between London and Ireland. I also have possible meetings in New York so anything is possible at the moment.
‘I probably shouldn’t say I’m moving for good. I’m going over for more meetings. I’m very busy workwise at the moment. I have shoots there [London] all this week, then I am flying back on Monday.’
The 23-year-old Naas beauty – who lost out to winner Olivia Wardell and runner-up Jennifer Malengele – said she had an amazing time participating in the competition but she missed out watching her swansong on the final episode this week.
‘I didn’t get to watch it myself as I was in London working at a show,’ she said. ‘Definitely meeting all of the girls was the real highlight for me. I have made great friends for life.’
While her mother Brenda Hyland Beirne – a former Rose of Tralee contestant – is hugely supportive of her career, Alannah kept her in the dark when she applied for the popular TV show last year.
‘I applied myself and didn’t tell anyone. But Mum and Dad had a gut feeling,’ she revealed. ‘I just didn’t want to get my hopes up, so I didn’t tell them until I was asked to send in my video. But they have been so proud and supportive.’
This week Alannah had to pose nude in the final task of the series but it didn’t faze her one bit. ‘I had no issue at all. It was great,’ she said. ‘My favourite task was the underwater shoot.’
She also has a new man in her life who she met during filming. ‘His name is Paddy Davis. He is very low-key and likes to stay away from all of this.’
‘Anything is possible at the moment’
