HE HAS been described as the sexiest man on TV thanks to his brooding portrayal of Ross Poldark. But as our pictures show, even Aidan Turner needs a little help to ensure he looks his best.
The 33-year-old is seen getting some last-minute attention from make-up artist Charlotte Broadbent as the BBC drama is filmed on location in Cornwall.
It is just one of the intimate moments captured in the photos.
Another photograph shows actress Beatie Edney, who plays plainspeaking servant Prudie Paynter, breaking the illusion of 18thcentury life by whipping out her iPhone for a quick selfie with her co-stars.
Our peek behind the scenes also hints at better times to come for Demelza Poldark, played by Eleanor Tomlinson, when the series returns to BBC1 at 9pm next Sunday.
She and her husband Ross find themselves in a better financial position, meaning Tomlinson can swap Demelza’s drab garb for high fashions that befit her new-found status.
The new series will again find Ross torn between wife Demelza and first love Elizabeth Warleggan, played by Heida Reed – a relationship further complicated by the fact that Elizabeth is pregnant.
