Alessia has scored herself a substitute

Her last football star beau broke her heart, but Irish-Italian Alessia Macari has a new one

ALESSIA MACARI, who won Celebrity Big Brother Italy last year, has found love with German football star Oliver Kragl. And the pair have been sharing a series of loved-up snaps and professing their love for each other on their social media pages.

Since winning the Italian reality show, Dubliner Alessia, 24, has enjoyed huge success, as well as winning the heart of Kragl, a striker for Italian Serie B side Frosinone.

He is clearly smitten with Alessia: his Instagram account is littered with snaps of the couple kissing, holidaying and engaging in some serious displays of affection.

Although Alessia grew up in Dublin – her family own the popular Mona Lisa chip shop in Crumlin – she spent her summers in Italy and moved there some years ago to pursue a career in television.

Before she entered the Big Brother house, she was already familiar to Italian audiences, having starred in nightly quiz show Avanti Un Altro.

Alessia has a penchant for footballers and dated Ireland international Ciaran Clark for a number of years when she was a teenager. She has since revealed that she was heartbroken when they broke up.

‘I’m old-fashioned, I believe if a man wants a woman, he will go get her but that wasn’t done by this person so it’s onwards and upwards for me. I haven’t heard from him since I came out of the house. Honestly now I want to concentrate on other things.’

Her mother also said her first love with Ciaran did have a lasting effect on her: ‘Meeting him did have a big impact on Alessia because she was very young at the time.’

During her time in the Big Brother house, she also shared a kiss with former Italian footballer Stefano Bettarini.

But it seems she has scored her big love now – with Oliver.
