THE draft HSE audit, details of which were revealed in last week’s Irish Mail on Sunday, showed salary payments to senior managers at St John of God during 2014 and 2015. The management pay bill increased over those years. In 2014, 65 managers were paid between €70,000 and €99,999, rising to 70 people in 2015, and 13 were on €100,000 to €149,999, rising to 15 in 2015. Seven people CEO: John Pepper earned between €150,000 and €199,999 both years.

Four managers were paid between €200,000 and €239,999 both years. In 2014 one person earned between €240,000 and €249,999.

The management pay bill increased from €4,045,353 in 2014 to €4,254,440 the following year.

The audit says this included clinical directors, consultant psychiatrists and the leadership teams of the five regions. It also included salary, premiums, overtime for nursing and other staff who work weekends and bank holidays.
