STEP THREE

-

Rest your hands lightly on your partner’s shoulders and, as they breathe out, use your body weight to gently push down on their shoulders. When you feel resistance, release. Next use both hands to make a wide, sweeping movement, brushing across the tops of the shoulders away from the body. Do this a few times.

Rest your thumbs at the base of your partner’s neck. Using the pads of your thumbs, make circular, pressing strokes over the trapezius muscle that runs along the base of the neck, top of the back and across the shoulders.

Pick up a roll of flesh from the trapezius muscles with the thumb and fingers of one hand and slide it across to feed the other hand in a smooth, rhythmical way. Repeat the movement with the other hand. Keep this up for a few minutes on each shoulder.
