Place both thumbs horizontal­ly on the sole, so they point in opposite directions, and wrap your fingers around the top of the foot to keep it steady. Slide the thumbs up the sole, making a ‘criss-cross’ action, so that first the left thumb slides above the right, then the right one slides above the left. Start at the toes and work down the foot; then back up to the toes.
