Lead by example
Having read Leo Varadkar’s article (MoS, June 11) I’m sure we all agree that social welfare shouldn’t be a way of life.
But how about taking a look at yourself too, Leo – and your colleagues. Your enormous salaries, extremely generous expenses, humongous pensions and subsidised food and drink (the list could go on) also comes from the hard-working taxpayers of Ireland. This sense of entitlement started at the top and has worked its way down to every level of society. So maybe it’s time to start leading by example and not ‘do as I say, not as I do’.
