May and DUP

Britain’s prime minister Theresa May is playing with fire inviting the DUP to be part of her minority government. She also puts the Northern peace process in danger, given the requirement for the impartiality of the British government under the Good Friday Agreement. With the EU parliament chief expressing serious concerns for the pact – and for the sake of stability and peace on this island of Ireland – the Taoiseach and his Government need to show strong leadership.
