Gerry’s flip-flops

-

I’m finding it difficult to keep up with the rapidly evolving pronouncements from Gerry Adams regarding Brexit.

Just a week ago he was assuring his followers that Brexit could hasten his ‘united Ireland’ dream and, in the past couple of days, he’s adopted the notion that there could be an occasion of our Good Friday Agreement unravelling.

The mantra now is that there is a danger of the ‘peace process’ coming down around his ears but I’d like to know how this would happen.

Are there shady characters otherwise known as ‘freedom fighters’ awaiting orders to throw away the olive-branches from the mouths of their doves of peace out in the backyard?

Will ‘permission’ be sought prior to any official announcement towards naughtiness or will it be sprung on us by way of a Manchester or Canary Wharf spectacular?

Gerry and the Shin-boners are upset at the smallish majority of the Brexit success, yet are longingly awaiting his 50+1% Northern Ireland vote which he sees as giving Gerry victory over his fellow countrymen and women who wish to remain British. One man’s majority is another’s man’s opportunity – I don’t think.

Oh, Gerry, you have me all over the place with your flip-flopping.
