RTÉ’s Caitríona Perry must be relieved to be replaced by the US journalist Mika Brzezinski as the latest target of Donald Trump’s unabashed sexism. In comparison to Mika – who was humiliated by claims she underwent a facelift and was accused of having a ‘low IQ’ – Perry met with the US president’s wholehearted approval and was complimented on her smile. Whether Caitríona was flattered or angry she didn’t show it, tweeting instead that the encounter was ‘bizarre’. Full marks to Caitríona for her diplomacy AND her nice smile.
