Novak thinking positive

- By Derek Hunter

THINGS are looking up for Novak Djokovic on the eve of Wimbledon.

Yesterday he clinched a first Eastbourne title, beating Gael Monfils 63 6-4 and then confirmed that Mario Ancic will join his team to work alongside Andre Agassi as he strives to regain the World No1 spot.

Djokovic has suffered injury problems, poor form and a split from his coach Boris Becker.

But after the three-time Wimbledon champion won Eastbourne without losing a set, he cut a much happier figure.

Revealing that Croat Ancic would join his team, Djokovic said: ‘He’s my very good friend, he was No 6 or 8, I think, in the world. He played semi-finals of Wimbledon, beat Federer, when he was, I think, only a teenager. He’s one of the closest friends I ever had.’
