Was that replay over-rated?

THE 2013 All Ireland final replay against Cork: a modern classic or over-rated when compared to the 2009 and 2010 Kilkenny-Tipperary classics?

McGrath accepts that history hasn’t been overly kind.

‘I don’t if it was high quality. It was different than the Kilkenny-Tipp finals in that it was open and high scoring and it was great for forwards. It was great to be involved in and good to watch.

‘The match itself is up there in terms of the excitement but the Tipp Kilkenny matches were seen as higher quality matches because they were repeated year after year whereas Clare haven’t done anything since.’
