EXPENSIVE HOLIDAYS ARE IN THE BAG!
RYANAIR’S new bag fees mean the price of your luggage can vary based on when and where you’re flying to – and when you book it. The MoS looked yesterday at the prices on a return flight from Dublin to Berlin with Michael O’Leary’s lowcost airline.
If we wanted to fly today and return a week later, baggage fees of €65 for a 15kg bag and €85 for 20kg would apply. However, a flight to the same city departing four weeks later would incur baggage fees of €50 for 15kg and €65 for 20kg. The new model sees the online booking price of baggage fluctuating from €10 to €40 for a 15kg based on the changing variables of location, time of flight and proximity to the departure date.
