Duo set to make real dough
The BBC is using a loophole to keep secret the salaries of some of its highest paid stars.
With the broadcaster set to announce a new project for Mel and Sue, former presenters of the Great British Bake Off, which is departing for a rival channel, it has emerged that their new pay packages will not be covered by the terms of an order to disclose high earners – because they will be employed by a new commercial subsidiary, BBC Studios.
Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins will be announced as the presenters of a reboot of The Generation Game, a family-based game show presented in the Seventies by Bruce Forsyth.
