THESE pictures show the palatial north Dublin home that’s been compared to Dallas’s Southfork.
It was described in court this week as a Dallas-style mansion, because it so closely resembled the house in the 1980s hit television series.
The eight-bedroom home in Ballyboughal, Co. Dublin is up for sale on the same website that’s selling Fleetwood Mac bass guitarist John McVie’s stylish abode in the exclusive area of Brentwood in Los Angeles. The two properties are listed on the elite website Mansion Global and, interestingly, the Dublin house has attracted a higher price tag of $7.28m – compared to $2.9m for McVie’s.
It was built by developer Jeremiah Donovan and his wife Bridget but receiver George Maloney was appointed after KBC Bank claimed it was owed €1.2m and he has launched a legal bid to take possession of it from the Donovans. It emerged during a High Court hearing this week, that the couple listed the house on the exclusive website.
