the black card is not fit for purpose any more. Did anyone really believe that either Kildare’s Kevin Feely or Down’s Kevin McKernan would serve their one-match suspension for both getting a third black card of the season in their respective provincial finals? If the sanction can be wiped later, what is the point in having it all? It’s clearly time for another review.
