THIS firms and tones thighs and releases lower back tension. It gives shape to legs, streamlini­ng calves and firming buttocks.

Standing with legs 4ft apart, turn your right foot 90 degrees to the right, with your left foot facing forwards. Stretch arms out parallel to the floor.

Inhale deeply and, as you exhale, bend right leg, aiming to have your right thigh parallel to floor and your left straight. Keep the outer edge of your left foot on the floor and fix gaze on your right hand.

Hold maximum stretch for a count of five, rising to ten as the move gets easier. Inhale and return to upright. Exhale, relax and repeat on opposite side. Repeat sequence.
