Riverdance duo finally sell €9.5m ‘pad’
IT’S been languishing on the market for almost a year and a half, but it seems Riverdance millionaires, Moya Doherty and John McColgan, have found a buyer for their home.
The couple’s stunning cliffside house in north Dublin had been on the market for €9.5m but has now gone ‘sale agreed’.
An offer was made last month for the sprawling 9,000 sq ft, five bedroom Danes Hollow and – according to a source – the property in Howth is no longer on the market.
It is believed that concert promoter, Peter Aiken, may soon become its proud owner, but this weekend both he and the McColgans were maintaining a discreet silence about the pending sale.
A source familiar with the deal explained: ‘An offer was made in July and it’s now sale agreed. People viewed the property a few weeks ago and it’s a stunning house.’
Perched on a hilltop overlooking the Baily Lighthouse, and set on over three acres of land, Danes Hollow was built 17 years ago and boasts its own orangery, swimming pool with hot tub, a gym and wine cellar.
When the property first came on the market last year Mr McColgan said the couple planned to remain living on its grounds in a threebed cottage that has its own separate entrance away from the main house.
