Love Island’s Shannen has had botox – at just 23 years old
MODEL Shannen Reilly McGrath, who enjoyed a brief stint of fame this summer when she appeared on Love Island, has had botox, the Irish Mail on Sunday has learned.
Despite being just 23, Dublin model Shannen has opted to have anti-wrinkle injections. Fresh-faced Shannen entered the Love Island villa this summer and while she didn’t find love, she has landed some more modelling work as a result of her fleeting fame.
Taking to Instagram this week, Shannen told her online followers that she had decided to get botox as she had some lines that she wanted to smooth out.
She wrote: ‘So thrilled with my recent visit to the @kerry-hanapy clinic as always!! I decided to have anti-wrinkle injections and I’m so happy that the results were amazing.
‘Their resident dentist Dr Barry was so amazing and made me feel at ease throughput the whole appointment. If you’re looking to smooth out any lines like I was then this is where you need to go!! I always love my visits to the clinic and can’t recommend them enough.’
Speaking to the MoS this week, Shannen said that she had botox to even out a scar on her forehead.
‘I have a scar on my forehead and it was quite noticeable. Even watching back Love Island I could see see it.’
‘I would never deny having anything done. But it was for the scar on my forehead. It stops the line before it has a chance to get deeper. I feel a lot better, more confident and I think I look better on camera.’
