Harvest Country Music Festival
Westportand Enniskillen August 26-27
Over two nights, in two towns, in two jurisdictions, the Harvest Country Music Festival will push the boundaries of country music this coming weekend. Westport in Co. Mayo and Enniskillen in Co. Fermanagh, will host American superstar Miranda Lambert and Ireland’s favourite Liverpudlian (after John Aldridge) Nathan Carter. More than 40 other acts will perform on a total of four stages over the Saturday and Sunday. Wagon Wheel singer Carter headlines in Westport on Saturday night, while Lambert plays in Enniskillen. Then, on Sunday, they – and those in support – swap places to entertain fans in the other town. Irish acts performing over the weekend include Jealous Of The
Angels singer Donna Taggart, Catherine McGrath, Dublin singer Niamh Lynn and former Saturdays-singer-gonecountry Una Healy. Overseas’ performers include veteran country singer Charley Pride, Kip Moore, Maddie & Tae and Mo Pitney, as well as The Shires – Britain’s answer to Lady Antebellum – and Hampshire female duo Ward Thomas.
