The men behind Isis are monsters – and cowards
THE current reign of terror by Isis will, like all its predecessors, pass in time, and then we will debate its legacy. Sadly, that legacy can be summed up in one word: cowardice.
The monsters behind Isis have turned their protégés against their better nature and brainwashed them into performing acts of cowardice, killing and maiming as many vulnerable and innocent men, women and children as possible.
These are acts that their own parents would have warned them against, as they sought to instil manly virtues and behaviour.
The sooner we make clear the true legacy of Isis, the sooner their list of potential recruits will dry up. Who wants to be remembered as a coward? Seán Ryan, Dundrum, Dublin 16.
