This one-bed Rathmines flat (€650/month) comes with a handy step ladder to help reach the cosy mattress on top of the wardrobe THE real estate agent who advertised a property with a mattress on top of a wardrobe has said he would not sleep there himself. Darryl Mc Loughlin of Bennetts Auctioneers told us the property has had the high altitude bed removed. ‘I wouldn’t (sleep on top of a wardrobe) but it’s not there any more so that’s not an issue. It was put up by a previous tenant who didn’t have permission to do so,’ he said. Neither he nor his firm took the pictures which went viral yesterday. ‘Today (Saturday) was my first time seeing the property. The picture was put up in error.’
