Staple diet... of quiz shows

-

LIKE ‘artisan’ bakeries selling brightly coloured cupcakes, Noel and Sandi spring up in the most unlikely of locations – regularly appearing as entertaining and sometimes anarchic panellists in a veritable A-Z of celebrity TV quiz shows.

Before being approached to present Bake Off, Sandi was probably best known for replacing Stephen Fry as the host of the comedy smart-alec’s quiz QI. But she was already familiar as a contestant on the show, as well as appearing on Call My Bluff, Mock The Week, Whose Line Is It Anyway? and a host of others.

Noel stood in for Bill Bailey as a team captain for three episodes of the irreverent pop quiz Never Mind The Buzzcocks in 2008 – achieving a record for the highest team score ever on the show. In 2009, Bailey left the show and Noel became a regular team captain.

He has also appeared on The Big Fat Quiz Of The Year, Taskmaster, which he won, and Eight Out Of Ten Cats Do Countdown.
