Both have artistic tastes
AWAY from the TV studios, both presenters share an artistic streak. Noel says his first love is painting, a skill he cultivated as a child to compensate for being no good at sports.
Noel held his first exhibition, Psychedelic Dreams Of The Jelly Fox, in 2008 – fittingly at the Maison Bertaux patisserie in Soho. His Instagram site hosts many of his sketches, some of which are brightly coloured self-portraits, left. Noel published a book of his paintings, The Scribblings Of A Madcap Shambleton, in 2012. They are loud – like his clothes. Sandi is more of a words woman, penning more than 20 books for children and adults. In 2003, she released Gladys Reunited: A Personal American Journey which featured her travels in the US. She has also written for the stage, with a series of plays enjoying runs in the West End.
