Louis joins Glenda to give it welly at the Ploughing

HE has reclaimed his seat on the X Factor judging panel. But later this month it will be more a case of ‘tractor factor’ for Louis Walsh, as he is headed to the Ploughing Championships.

But there will be no Massey Ferguson for A-list Louis, inset – The Diary has learned that he will be taking a chopper to Offaly for the Ploughing, where he will be on the stand for the National Dairy Council, which is launching its The Complete Natural campaign.

And joining the former Boyzone manager on the Dairy Council stand will be two of Ireland’s natural beauties: Glenda Gilson, right, and Vogue Williams.

Never, it seems, has ploughing been so glamorous.

In recent years the Ploughing Championships has exploded in popularity; last year around 280,000 people turned up for the show – and this year’s guest numbers are expected to beat that. So it’s wellies at the ready...
