Glenda’s 3-day week frees her up to make babies

-

TV3 star Glenda Gilson is excited at Xposé’s new three-day format as it will give the presenters some ‘time to breathe’. And Glenda says she’ll also be able to concentrate on hubby Rob Macnaughton and their baby-making plans.

Looking like the cat that got the cream, Glenda, right, was in great form at the National Dairy Council stand at the Ploughing Championships this week. She said: ‘I’m always open to different things just to change up your day. But the good thing about Xposé is it’s always different. The three days is brilliant because we have the one main focus. We’re the hammock between Corrie and Emmerdale and it will give us all a chance to breathe a little bit. So I’m all for it.’

Her new three-day week will give the happily married star more time with her businessman husband Rob, inset, and she says they are hoping for a family.

‘Yep, we do have plans for kids, we are enjoying trying at the moment, you know yourself,’ she said. ‘So hopefully, touch wood, it happens.’

‘Married life is great – it’s wonderful. I was down in Clifden for the weekend, walked the beach. The arts festival was on and you meet the quirkiest people down there, the place is full of Americans and French. Eating fish, drinking pints, walking the beach – that’s what happens when you get to my age.’

Glenda is just back from London Fashion Week and is packing her bags for Paris. She said: ‘I was at Paul Costelloe at London Fashion Week which was great. And I’m off to Paris Fashion Week – so that’s exciting.’
