Richarlison swoops late to end Watford’s suffering

- – KIERAN GILL

A LATE goal from £11.5million signing Richarlison ensured Watford put the misery of last week’s 6-0 defeat to Manchester City behind them.

‘It was important,’ manager Marco Silva said. ‘Believe me, it was a tough afternoon for us last week but that’s in the past. It’s the first time we have won three Premier League away games in a row. It is a good moment for the history of the club.’

On Richarlison, Silva said: ‘It’s important for the boy. He’s an amazing talent.’

Andre Gray had given Watford the lead only for Tammy Abraham to equalise with Swansea’s first goal at the Liberty this season.
