WHO ARE LCD SOUNDSYSTEM?

LCd Soundsystem are from brooklyn, New york and are fronted by dJ and producer James Murphy. They rose to prominence in the early 2000s with their unusual mix of rock, electronic and dance music. They recorded three successful albums before disbanding in 2011.

The band ended their career with a final concert at Madison Square Garden in New york followed by a documentary and a live album. but after a release of a Christmas single in december 2015, speculation about a reunion emerged and that reunion did eventually happen. In September 2017 they released their fourth studio album, american dream.

The band’s return received mixed reactions but they are now touring again and playing sold-out shows all over the world. In the photo above, frontman James Murphy is on the far right, with synth player and vocalist Nancy Whang in the centre and guitarist and bassist al doyle to the left.
