O’Brien is a top 20 hit

AIDAN O’BRIEN, who runs five horses in today’s Arc, was in dominant form at Newmarket as he landed both Group One two-year-old races.

O’Brien landed the Cheveley Park Stakes for fillies with 15-8 favourite Clemmie (Ryan Moore) but it was the less-expected 10-1 shot US Navy Flag (Seamie Heffernan) which won the Middle Park Stakes for colts.

The dual strike took O’Brien to 20 Group One wins for the year. He is again within striking distance of the record of 25 in a calendar year set by US trainer Bobby Frankel.
