Ryanair finally gets its ‘Priority’ right

-

Okay, so the Ryanair flight cancellations have been a disaster all round. No argument there. But when it comes to the bags issue, I’m with Michael O’Leary. Why? Because there are far too many eejits who think it’s really clever to ‘get one over’ on the airline by trailing their 10kg bag on to the plane with another bag of not dissimilar proportions over their shoulder. Without paying an extra cent. It’s been open season since the airline relaxed its one-bag only ruling back in 2013. And those ‘handbags’ that won’t fit under seats cause chaos onboard with people moving up and down the plane to try and find overhead locker space. Then they have to come back to their seat. And then they have to retrieve said bag when the plane lands. Grrr .... Roll on November 1, I say, when – unless you’ve coughed up the extra fiver for ‘Priority’ – all the bigger bags will be consigned to the hold.
