PARISH pump politics is alive and well in Dublin with regard to the re-opening of Stepaside Garda Station.

The slur that is thrown at rural politicians by Dubliners in attempting to belittle their efforts on behalf of their constituents, can now be thrown back in Dubliners’ faces.

The proposal to close Old Pallas post office in Limerick is another nail in rural Ireland’s coffin. The time is long overdue to create some action among all politicians, irrespective of party ,and show Dublin that rural Ireland is also made up of taxpayers who receive very few services for what they pay.
