Ronan’s lament

Further to that pathetic interview with Ronan Keating (TV Week, September 17): is he not aware of the fact that the management he decides in public to criticise took a few average singers and made them superstars and millionaires – a group of lads that individually would never have made it!

Keating says that you’re not allowed to be talented in a boyband. They were not a ‘band’, there was not an instrument between them.

He says he’s a very good singer, which is debateable but, one way or another, shouldn’t he be happy with his loaded bank account and his place in the juvenile annals of entertainment? Ted Emery, Fountainstown, Co. Cork.
