Leo brought this farce on himself

Regarding your story about the Taoiseach and his backstage clash with a band: I have never heard of LCD Soundsystem and I think they have a cheek to confront Leo Varadkar and push a political agenda on abortion in a foreign country.

But Mr Varadkar needs to learn a lesson from this. What was he doing backstage at a rock concert in the first place? He’s Taoiseach now and he can’t continue to behave like he’s just a regular bloke enjoying a night off.

I think he is far too preoccupied with his self-image as a young and hip leader with fashionable tastes, a sort of fun-sized Justin Trudeau. Seeking to maintain that image is a surefire way to make himself appear ridiculous. Grow up, Mr Varadkar!
