Van Gaal back in his new TV role

JOSE MOURINHO’S gameplan was to stop Liverpool from playing — or, in the case of Ashley Young, stop Alberto Moreno from running with this thunderous challenge (above). It was a rare moment of passion in a derby that lacked intensity or action, though former United boss Louis van Gaal (below) enjoyed himself. Van Gaal waved goodbye to United last year but, in his new role working for Dutch TV, was back in the northwest where he shook hands with successor Mourinho before kick-off.
