Bath off to a flying start

BATH made a good start to their new European campaign with a 23-0 win over battling Benetton.

Flanker Zach Mercer scored a try as the hosts led 13-0 at the break, having endured fierce pressure.

A superb try from wing Aled Brew (left) sealed it and fly-half Josh Lewis made a fine debut, kicking 13 points. Sam Underhill had just 20 minutes to impress watching Eddie Jones before suffering a head injury.
