A hole lot of value in the Pantheon

-

From the end of this year I’m going to have to pay when I arrive in Rome and make my usual beeline for my favourite building in the city – the Pantheon. Almost 2,000 years old, this beautiful round-shaped temple with its marbled interior is also famous for its oculus – the central hole in its ceiling. Quite a sight inside when it’s raining. Still, I’m happy enough to cough up the proposed €3 entry fee in the hope of one day seeing what has so far eluded me – snow falling silently into the interior.
