IT all started to go wrong for Jose Mourinho when Phil Jones limped off after 23 minutes.

Jones, one of United’s star defenders, was replaced by Victor Lindelof, a nervous wreck of a substitute, whose two blunders proved so costly.

United enjoyed almost 80 per cent possession, but Lindelof’s clangers ensured Huddersfield racked up a first win over United since 1952.
