THREE Mail journalist­s scooped awards at the Newsbrands Ireland National Journalism Awards last week.

Irish Mail on Sunday’s Political Editor John Lee was named Political Journalist of the Year while his colleague Michael O’Farrell won Investigat­ive Journalist of the Year.

Irish Daily Mail Chief Correspond­ent Catherine Fegan, who also writes for this newspaper, picked up Feature Writer of the Year award before being named Journalist of the Year at the ceremony in Dublin’s Mansion House.

Seven other Mail writers were also shortliste­d for awards.
