Leo, we are so disappointed

IT WAS a bad week on social media for Leo Varadkar and his party. After a Fine Gael national executive member resigned due to online trolling, what Leo didn’t need was a mistake that proved his tweets are often dictated. Yesterday afternoon he sent a good luck message to the Ireland rugby team ahead of their match at the Aviva. But whoever uploaded the tweet failed to delete a stage direction to tag the Aviva directly. The tweet also used a hashtag more usually associated with the soccer team, COYBIG, or, ‘Come on you boys in green’. The tweet was up for 40 minutes before being replaced with the mistakes corrected and an apologetic, ‘oops’.
