Saoirse says her prayers for an Oscar

SAOIRSE Ronan is still waiting for her Oscar prayers to be answered... but maybe reconnecting with her faith will do it. Talking about the religious backdrop to her film Lady Bird, she told Vulture. com: ‘I don’t go to Mass, but every now and again... I get a hankering to go to a church. It’s not necessarily to atone, it’s more to be reminded of my childhood.’ Saoirse also reflected on playing Catholic Mary Queen of Scots recently: ‘I had a yearning to go and remind myself of what that was.’
