The whole country may have been entranced by the Late Late Toy show but chef Donal Skehan and his wife Sofia had other matters to concentrate on – the safe arrival of their first baby. Baby boy Skehan, the first son of Donal and his Swedish wife Sofia Larsson, was delivered in a Californian hospital much to the delight of his proud parents.
Donal took to Instagram to share the good news with his fans and followers. He accompanied the delighted post with a picture of his wife, Sofia, and their minutes-old son.
‘Welcome to the world little baby boy! What a whirlwind – @ sofieskehan rocked it with Swedish Viking strength for a natural birth, 3 hours in the hospital! I’m so proud and both so grateful – Mommy and little guy doing great – totally chilled and ready for a whole new world of adventures! Just the most amazing experience – in awe of it all! #babyskehan.’ The couple married in 2015 after nine years together. They have lived in the US since last year as Donal’s career as a TV cook gathers pace. Sofia, Donal and their dog Max appear to have taken well to their new adopted US home.
