IRELAND’S Got Talent judge Michelle Visage faced a difficult week in Ireland as wildfires in LA threatened to destroy her family home.

The singer and actor’s husband David and two children, Lola and Lillie Case, had been forced to evacuate their home as the out-of-control fires engulfed their neighbourhood.

According to a show insider, the Ru Paul’s Drag Race star was ‘beside herself with worry’ during filming of the debut TV3 show this week. However, she refused to let anxiety get the better of her and carried on with the filming. In fact, some of the crew had been struck down with the vomiting bug and she was extremely concerned for their wellbeing as well.

‘Michelle was constantly on the phone in between takes,’ a source told the Irish Mail on Sunday.

‘She was dreadfully upset but once her family had been evacuated she knew that they would be okay. The house can be rebuilt, so as long as they were safe she was in a better place.

‘But she refused to let her own woes interfere with her schedule and was

the ultimate professional. And when a number of crew were struck down by illness, she was asking after them immediately.

‘Louis Walsh was her rock during the whole ordeal and she flew to London on Friday, hoping that her family would get a flight to the UK before long. She is one tough cookie.’

A dedicated ambassador for various animal-welfare charities, on Thursday afternoon Michelle took to Instagram to ask her fans to pray for those caught up in the forest blazes.

She also urged anyone living in the affected area to leave water outside for animals to drink.

She later revealed: ‘The Thomas fire is in my backyard, literally. Hubby and dogs are on standby to evacuate, bags already packed.

‘Please pray for all that are affected, displaced and now homeless due to these insane fires.’

Ms Visage will fly back to Dublin early next week for filming and it is hoping to have her family with her by then.

Michelle was unavailable for comment when contacted by the MoS.
