WHEN Simon Cowell stole property tycoon Andrew Silverman’s wife Lauren from under his nose in 2013, the men fell out and vowed never speak to speak again.
Now the warring pair have buried the hatchet – and, amazingly, it is Andrew who first offered an olive branch to Simon with a series of text messages. They are even said to be considering a holiday together with their new families. Lauren and Cowell have a three-year-old son, Eric, while Silverman recently married widow Samantha Zimmerman. Famously, the protagonists were pictured together on a yacht during a 2012 holiday when the affair between Lauren and the X Factor boss was at its height. Cowell later said: ‘I’m not proud of the circumstances.’ At one point, relations were so bad that Andrew reportedly banned Cowell from being in the same room as his son Adam during Lauren’s weekly visits to see him in New York. A source said: ‘Simon has always put the message out that relations were cordial for the sake of Adam. In reality, everything was acrimonious. Now things really are cordial.’ A source close to Cowell said: ‘They’ve buried the hatchet.’
